Kaiwi Mauka Evenings 5/30/25

Kaiwi needs your kōkua!

May 30, 2025

4:00 pm

Join us in caring for the grounds of Kaiwi Mauka as often as you can! Biweekly volunteer opportunities now available on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings.

Sundays: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. - morning hike & ʻāina restoration

Fridays: 4 to 6 p.m. - Plantings & ʻāina restoration

Times may shift with the sunset. Work is always weather-permitting and subject to cancellation.

RSVPs not required but appreciated! See flyer here.

The Kaiwi Coalition is working hard to restore the cultural and natural elements of our Kaiwi Mauka Lands. We appreciate your kōkua in keeping our location confidential.  We also ask you to visit only on scheduled volunteer days, please contact us directly if you have other requests for access. Feel free to park along the end of the street, and please be courteous of noise as this is a residential area.

What to Bring:

  • Reusable water bottle (I like to have at least 32 oz of water for a work day)
  • Closed-toed shoes suitable for working outside/hiking
  • Sunscreen and a hat (the sun can be strong, so be sure to protect yourself!)
  • Clothes ready for hands-on activities including hiking, weeding, and planting awesome trees
  • Optional: Some folks bring their own favorite tools, ours are well used
